Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 31 – As the New Year approaches, the Techo International Airport project team is diligently and efficiently working on various engineering tasks, racing against the time to ensure the project's perfect completion by the set deadline of 30 April 2024.
On-site inspection of ceiling mock-ups, ensuring quality and adherence to design:
site management staffs, consultants, and the owner recently gathered at the Techo International Airport project site to collectively inspect the airport's soffit mock-ups. This phase is a crucial milestone in the project's progress, with everyone meticulously reviewing to ensure that the soffit mock-ups perfectly align with the design requirements. Project management emphasized their commitment to strict quality control, ensuring the soffit construction meets the standards.
Active discussions and swift finalization:
On-site, project management staffs and consultants engaged in intensive discussions on various engineering aspects. In order to maintain the project schedule, active negotiations on technical issues took place on-site, leading to quick finalizations. Efficient discussions and prompt decision-making provided a solid foundation for the project's progress.
Foregoing holidays to contribute to milestone completion:
To achieve the goal of completing the project by April 30, 2024, over 200 Chinese project staffs and more than 5000 workers chose to stay on-site and forego returning home for the holidays. In a foreign land, they collaborated closely with the project team, working tirelessly to contribute their efforts to achieving project milestones.
The efficient progress of the Techo International Airport project not only showcases the team's cohesion and dedication but also demonstrates the outstanding level of Chinese engineering on the international stage. As the New Year approaches, we look forward to this team continuing to create more brilliance for international friendship and urban development in the days to come.
It is reported that the overall completion of the Techo International Airport project is currently at approximately 53.65%, with the roof mostly finished, and extensive work is underway on the curtain wall, interior finishing, and the integration of MEP systems.
China Construction Third Engineering Bureau has proven to be the most reliable general contracting management brand, persisting at the Techo International Airport despite the challenges posed by the severe pandemic.
