Tokyo (FN), Dec. 16 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet said that accusing him of orchestrating a gathering of thousands of Cambodian people in Tokyo is a strange accusation.
The premier spoke in a meeting with the Cambodian community in Japan on Saturday (Dec. 16).
"Today's gathering is centered on the spirit of nationalism, dedicated to promoting and upholding our national honor,” the premier underlined.
Samdech Thipadei also told those, who planned a demonstration in Japan, to uphold Cambodia's dignity and refrain from violating Japanese law.
At the same time, premier Hun Manet also thanked the team of Minister Heng Sour, collaborating with the Cambodian Embassy and Association in Japan, for organizing the current meeting.
"For Cambodians, whether in the United States or any other country, we should celebrate the current state of peace," the premier added.
At the invitation of Prime Minister of Japan Kishida Fumio, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet led a high-level delegation to attend the ASEAN-Japan Commemorative Summit for the 50th Year of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation in Tokyo from 16 to 18 December.
