Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 13 – Jean François Tan, Minister Delegate attached to the Prime Minister in charge of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, affirmed that Prime Minister Hun Manet's overseas visits are conducted without any pressure from or preferences for one country over another.
The minister delegate made this statement during a press conference in response to various comments speculating on the Samdech Thipadei's visit to Vietnam.
"Cambodia's policy has remained constant from the beginning, from Samdech Techo to Samdech Thipadei; the fundamental principle is for Cambodia to extend friendships, reinforce existing friendships, and cultivate new ones," Jean François Tan underscored.
He further elaborated that the visit to Vietnam is an endeavor to enhance amicable relations between both nations, with the principal aim of fostering economic ties and promoting development.
