Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 13 – Jean Francois Tan, Minister Delegate attached to the Prime Minister in charge of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, urged all Cambodian people to think more and talk less in order to leverage international relations for opportunities and benefits.

The minister delegate’s statement was made at a press conference in response to overseas analysts who said that Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet's visit to Viet Nam was to console Viet Nam after Cambodia was seen attaining close relationship with China.

"In the current context of the current geopolitical context, soft diplomacy in the sense of strengthening old friendships and expanding new friendships is a mechanism that will provide benefits for Cambodia in a short, medium or long period of time,” the minister delegate underlined.

In response to the analysts' claim, Jean Francois Tan sent a message to the analysts as well as the general public to think more and talk less for the benefits of the country.

He continued, " "For Cambodia to harness the benefits of international relations with its neighbors and regional countries, Cambodian people should think more and talk less as hasty discussions may compromise national interests and security."
