Hanoi (FN), Dec. 11 – Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh congratulated Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet on his recent election as vice president of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP).

Samdech Thipadei and his Vietnamese counterpart held a bilateral meeting on Monday (Dec. 11) during his official visit to Viet Nam from 11-12 December 2023.

Pham Minh Chinh welcomed Samdech Thipadei's first official visit in his capacity as the Cambodian prime minister and a high-level delegation of the Royal Government of Cambodia in the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.

Taking this occasion, the Vietnamese prime minister Pham Minh Chinh underscored that Samdech Thipadei's official visit to Viet Nam signifies a further deepening of the long-standing relationship based on the spirit of "Good Neighborliness, Traditional Friendship, Comprehensive Cooperation, and Long-term Stability between Cambodia and Viet Nam" for the mutual benefit of the two nations.

On the occasion, the Vietnamese prime minister expressed confidence that under the leadership of Premier Hun Manet, Cambodia will be destined for further development, aligning with the assured realization of the visionary goals set for 2030 and 2050.

For his part, premier Hun Manet thanked his Vietnamese counterpart for warmly welcoming him on his first official visit to Viet Nam.

Samdech Thipadei also conveyed regards from Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Chairman of the Supreme Privy Council to the king, to the Vietnamese prime minister.
