Siem Reap (FN), Dec. 8 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet expressed his commitment to continue the spirit of Samdech Techo Hun Sen in further developing the Run Ta Ek and the Peak Sneng development areas to improve the lives of the people.
The premier spoke on Friday morning (Dec. 8) during his meeting with nearly 3,000 people who voluntarily relocated to Run Ta Ek Area, Siem Reap province.
On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei further highlighted the development plans for the Run Ta Ek area. This involves the construction of new residential zones for individuals who are willing to relocate from the Angkor area, ensuring compliance with UNESCO conditions. These initiatives underscore the Royal Government's careful consideration for the Angkor area, a designated World Heritage Site, and its commitment to addressing the needs of the population, encompassing land, housing, and employment.
Samdech Thipadei continued, such implementations cannot be achieved overnight and the Royal Government remains steadfast in its ongoing efforts to support and assist the people in various aspects.
At the same time, Premier Hun Manet highlighted the notable visits of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, who, during his tenure as Prime Minister, visited this area four times in less than a year. Today, as the prospective Prime Minister, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet continues this tradition, reinforcing the commitment to advance the development of these areas for the well-being of the people.
"Samdech Techo has visited this place four times, and today I am here to reiterate our dedication to building a more prosperous environment for the people," the premier affirmed.
Prime Minister Manet underscored the Royal Government's duty to safeguard the nation's essence, emphasizing the cultural legacy bestowed upon us by our ancestors, and the responsibility towards the national life, the lives of the people.
