Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 7 – The Electricity Authority of Cambodia announced to reduce the price of electricity for consumers in the tourism sector nationwide, connected to the distribution network from the national grid, for three months, starting from December 2023 to February 2024.

Executive Director of the Electricity Authority of Cambodia Ly Channarey presided over a meeting on Thursday (Dec. 7).

The Ministry of Mines, the Electricity Authority of Cambodia, and Electricité du Cambodge (EDC) will reduce the price of electricity by 15 per cent for the amount of energy used in excess of the average in the past six months by consumers of commercial, business, and tourism services in accordance with certain policies and conditions.
