Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 5 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet said that to achieve the vision of becoming an upper-middle-income country by 2030 and a high-income by 2050, people remain a top priority for the Royal Government and that the government pledged to leave no one behind.

The premier spoke on Tuesday morning (Dec. 5) at the official launch of the National Social Assistance Program at Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel.

"In order to achieve the vision of transforming Cambodia into an upper-middle-income country by 2030 and a high-income by 2050, the Royal Government continues to prioritize people and enhance the social protection system. This involves integration, sustainability, and a commitment to the spirit of leaving no one behind, with a focus on government intervention for poor and vulnerable households," the premier underscored.

Cambodia's long-term vision to achieve an upper-middle-income status by 2030 and a high-income by 2050 was announced during the 6th mandate of the Royal Government under the leadership of Samdech Techo Hun Sen. This vision continues to be implemented in the 7th mandate under the leadership of Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet.
