Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 5 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet affirmed that the principle of the Royal Government is not to leave any citizen behind. In this context, the Royal Government stands with the citizens in both good and difficult times.
The premier spoke on Tuesday morning (Dec. 5) at the official launching of the national policy related to the National Social Assistance Program at Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel.
"The Royal Government adheres to the principle of leaving no one behind. The government remains present in both good and difficult times, ensuring that no one is left unattended. Our government does not only act in difficult times; we have been proactive for 40 years with a history of the struggle from national liberation to national unity as well as helping the citizens," the premier underscored.
On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei continued that this task requires continuous effort. In the past four years, the world has experienced recurring crises, including the COVID19 outbreak, which affected the social livelihood and health of the citizens. Additionally, the war in Europe and the Middle East, and in other locations, for instance, in the ASEAN region, we also experience the Myanmar crisis. In this sense, Cambodia also has adverse effects from these crises.
As a result, Samdech Thipadei pledged to further strengthen the National Social Assistance Program to ensure efficiency, transparency, and responsiveness.
