Kep (FN), Dec. 3 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet highlighted the significance of promoting Cambodia on the international stage to attract tourists, speaking at the closing ceremony of the 10th Sea Festival, held on Sunday (Dec. 3) in Kep province.

"Many tourists choose to visit Cambodia because of advertisements and recommendations from fellow travelers. It is crucial to portray the reality accurately and build trust. The tourism sector plays a vital role in promoting the national economy," the premier underscored.

On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei advised striving to create more tourism products to attract visitors.

According to Tourism Minister Sok Soken, in the first ten months of 2023, Cambodia welcomed approximately 4.4 million international tourists and 12.2 million national tourists. In this context, Cambodia aims to receive about 5.4 million international tourists and approximately 15 million national tourists in 2023.
