Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 23 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet requested the Cambodia Vision 2023 Conference to act as a forum for frank and constructive exchange of ideas, and to take joint action and responsibility on the kingdom’s destiny.
The premier spoke on Thursday (Nov. 23) during Cambodia Outlook Conference 2023 at Sokha Hotel Phnom Penh.
On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei underlined the necessity for the forthcoming CDRI study results not merely to raise awareness but also to serve as a pivotal document guiding the Royal Government in formulating strategic development plans and policy measures. This includes addressing current and future challenges, particularly those anticipated as Cambodia approaches its goal of emerging from the least developed country status by 2027. The focus extends to fortifying and broadening the economic foundation for increased strength and diversity, aiming to enhance socio-economic resilience in pursuit of Cambodia's long-term vision.
The premier urged the distinguished attendees to actively engage in the discussions to ensure a fruitful conclusion for today's conference. Their active participation is crucial in providing essential inputs to support the analysis and conclusions of the CDRI Institute on the significant topic at hand.
