Kampong Chhnang (FN), Nov. 22 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet regarded the inauguration of National Road No. 5 as a symbolic representation of the ongoing national economic development and the reinforcement of the new government succeeding the previous government.
The premier spoke on Wednesday (Nov. 22) during an inauguration for the official use of National Road No. 5 from Prek Kdam to Battambang and groundbreaking for the construction from Serei Sophorn to Poipet.
"The meeting and the inauguration here mark a significant day and symbolize the ongoing development along the established path, reinforcing the country's economic situation and the progress built from the previous mandate”, Samdech Thipadei underscored.
The premier continued that the inauguration of National Road No. 5 is also a special event, coinciding with the three-month anniversary of the establishment of the seventh-mandate Royal Government, signifying the sustained strengthening of the economy and further development from existing trajectories.
While the event was attended by representatives of the Japanese Government and investors, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet emphasized that this event also showcases the model of maintaining relations with countries of friends.
At the same time, premier Hun Manet underlined that the achievement of National Road No. 5 is a joint achievement between Cambodia and Japan, which arises from the traditional relations and good cooperation between both countries.
