Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 14 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet underscored the Royal Government’s unwavering commitment to the well-being of the people, starting from before birth and extending throughout their lives, speaking at the launching two political programs for poor and vulnerable households, held on Tuesday morning (Nov. 14) at Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel.
Samdech Thipadei stated, "before they were born, we cared for their well-being. After they were born, we cared for them to be able to get an education in addition to taking care of their well-being.”
Emphasizing the importance of education, the premier highlighted initiatives to establish community nurseries and kindergartens to support the holistic development of individuals.
Samdech Manipadei Hun Manet also stated that the establishment of community kindergartens and nurseries plays a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being of infants. These facilities aid in overseeing nutrition control and providing essential training. This proactive approach by the Royal Government, starting from the early stages, not only supports working parents with young children but also ensures that caregivers and teachers possess specific skills for the care and primary education of children. The result is the cultivation of intelligence, coupled with the provision of sufficient and fundamental nutrition, enabling them to compete effectively.
On this occasion, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet emphasized that the enhancement of skills, capacity, work attitude, and productivity, coupled with the promotion of social protection, stands as a top priority goal set by the Royal Government in the Pentagon Strategy Phase I. This strategic focus aims to fortify competitiveness, ensure high economic growth, facilitate improved job creation, and foster stable income generation. Additionally, it is designed to preemptively address potential risks and adverse effects that may arise in response to evolving skill and employment challenges in the future.
