Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 9 – Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni praised the speech of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet, and considered it as a comprehensive political message in assessing the domestic and international situation, especially in the socio-economic aspect to develop and improve the citizens' livelihoods.
The king spoke during the 70th Anniversary of National Independence Day on Thursday morning (Nov. 9) in Phnom Penh.
"The noble speech of Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet has a deep meaning. In this sense, I would like to praise, support, and consider this as the comprehensive political message in assessing the situation of our society, the international situation, especially in the socio-economic aspect to develop our nation and improve the citizens' livelihoods," the king underscored.
Please be informed that on that occasion, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet underlined that Cambodia is entering a new stage of development with the people having strong confidence and high ambition to promote national pride as strong as in the Angkorian era through strong nation building, vibrant, and prosperous country, to elevate the nation to become a high-income country by 2050.
In addition, the seventh-mandate Royal Government also pledged to achieve the five main strategic objectives set out in the Political Platform and the Pentagonal Strategy Phase 1.
