Kampong Speu (FN), Oct. 30 – Cambodian prime minister, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet underlined that Cambodia will strive to achieve the plans for mine-free Cambodia 2025, which is Samdech Techo Hun Sen's initiative.
The premier spoke on Monday (Oct. 30) during an inauguration of Kampong Speu provincial administration building.
"We will strive to achieve plans to realise Cambodia’s goal of becoming a mine-free nation by 2025 and the initiative of Samdech Techo Hun Sen," said the premier.
In addition, Samdech Thipadei stated that Cambodia also sent demining forces overseas though the United Nations mission.
Premier Hun Manet added that the dedication of the demining force has indeed brought happiness to tens of millions of people who have been rescued from danger of death or disability, and allowed them to make a living by growing crops on the mine-free lands.
At the same time, Samdech Thipadei expressed his gratitude and highly commended the noble contribution and support of the private sector, development partners, friendly countries and national and international organizations.
