Phnom Penh (FN), Oct. 27 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Manet advised the relevant institutions to rehabilitate the flood-damaged infrastructure and conduct a flood impact assessment to manage the disruption caused by floods.
The premier spoke in the weekly cabinet meeting, held on Friday morning (Oct. 27) at the Peace Palace.
In the meeting, the premier also instructed the relevant institutions to provide rice seeds to farmers affected by floods to resume their rural livelihoods. In addition, Samdech Thipadei also advised to conduct flood impact assessment in detail to avoid future consequences.
Samdech Thipadei also thanked the National Committee for Disaster Management (NCDM) and relevant institutions for their timely intervention in rescuing citizens from the floods, and advised to continue to be alert at all time.
