Phnom Penh (FN), Oct. 27 – The draft Royal Decree on the establishment, organization, and operation of the National Authority for Non-judicial Reconciliation was successfully adopted by the weekly cabinet meeting held on Friday morning (Oct. 27) at the Peace Palace.
This non-judicial reconciliation mechanism will be an important mechanism aimed at improving the quality, efficiency, and speed of dispute resolution through non-judicial reconciliation in order to reduce congestion of cases.
In order to offer a greater understanding of the National Authority, Samdech Thipadei urged the relevant institutions to conduct a promotional campaign for the public. In doing so, the citizens will be able to learn about this mechanism, including additional options for dispute settlement.
“In particular, the promotional campaign to explain and guide the citizens to understand the law and understand the options that we have prepared for them,” the premier underscored.
Samdech Thipadei hoped that establishing the Authority will contribute to providing justice, harmonization, and support. However, it will not replace the court, but complements the existing mechanisms.
