Phnom Penh (FN), Oct. 25 – Samdech Techo Hun Sen, president of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP), has announced that he will not tolerate the color revolution movement in Cambodia, especially the leaders of the November 9 movement. At the same time, Samdech called on all 27 political parties to join forces with the CPP and the national forces to prevent and eliminate extremist groups.
Samdech Techo spoke during the signing ceremony of the alliance agreement between the CPP and 27 other political parties on Wednesday (Oct. 25) at the CPP's headquarters.
"The November 9 movement is a major act of treason that we cannot tolerate. The court still continues to prosecute this group. Is it an expression of opinion or a declaration of war?", Samdech Techo underlined.
At this point, Samdech Techo wants to send a message to some foreigners who lack understanding of freedom of expression and the movement to overthrow the system. He continued that today in Cambodia, there are still activities of the color revolution movement. Samdech Techo sent a message to some countries and NGOs that are taking refuge under the shadow of the color revolution movement, to withdraw from the kingdom as soon as possible.
"We will not give anyone the opportunity to destroy this hard-earned peace. The CPP alone is not enough; therefore, our alliance will protect the peace as it has provided opportunities for socio-economic development", Samdech Techo underscored
Samdech Techo also urged to jointly prevent extremist politics, which are all dangerous to the nation and the people. Preventing possible extremist movements requires educating its members not to follow extremist political practices that endanger the nation and its people.
