Phnom Penh (FN), Oct. 24 – Cambodian prime minister, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet thanked the former prime minister, Samdech Techo Hun Sen for initiating the establishment of the Techo Santepheap National Hospital, and thanked the former health minister and other stakeholders for their joint efforts.

The premier spoke on Tuesday (Oct. 24) during an inauguration ceremony of the national hospital in Phnom Penh.

"I would like to thank once again Samdech Techo Hun Sen for his vision and leadership in coordinating the effective COVID19 control, as well as the vision for policy formulation, including the construction of this hospital. At the same time, I also would like to thank former health minister Mam Bunheng, current health minister Chheang Ra, and leaders of relevant ministries,” the premier underlined.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet thanked the doctors, nurses and staff who participated in this achievement.

In addition, the premier believed that this hospital will not only meet the needs of the people in Phnom Penh, but also the needs of citizens nationwide as well as foreigners.

The 10,000-bed Techo Santepheap National Hospital is the largest in the country, located in Kob Srov Thom Village, Sangkat Kork Roka, Khan Prek Pnov, Phnom Penh.
