Riyadh (FN), Oct. 20 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Manet and chief executive officer (CEO) of Saudi Fund for Development Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad expressed support for financing for agricultural development and physical infrastructure in Cambodia.
Cambodian prime minister, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet met with Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad, chief executive officer (CEO) of Saudi Fund for Development on Friday (Oct. 20) in Riyadh.
During the meeting, Saudi Fund CEO congratulated Samdech Thipadei on receiving support to lead the seventh-mandate Royal Government. He also informed Samdech Thipadei about the intention to provide financing to Cambodia, as the fund has always contributed to the promotion of sustainable growth in developing countries, especially in areas including education and sports, health and transportation.
Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet welcomed the meeting with the management of of Saudi Fund for Development and thanked for the commitment to communication and financing. He also mentioned the potential for cooperation between Cambodia and Saudi Arabia in the areas of investment, tourism and renewable energy, especially agriculture.
Samdech Thipadei and the Saudi Fund CEO supported the project to provide financing to the Cambodian Government, specifically for the development of agriculture and the construction of physical infrastructure.
During the meeting, Samdech Thipadei invited the CEO of Saudi Fund for Development to visit Cambodia to further discuss this matter with the relevant ministries and institutions of Cambodia.
