Beijing (FN), Oct. 19 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Manet said that as a nation with a young dynamic population and a burgeoning tech-savvy workforce, Cambodia is well positioned to leverage the digital economy to its advantage.
The premier delivered a keynote address on the “Digital Economy as the New Source of the Growth” during the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in Beijing, China on Thursday (Oct. 19).
“The Royal Government of Cambodia has introduced a series of visionary policies and initiatives, such as Cambodia Digital Economy and Society Policy Framework 2021-2035, Cambodia Digital Government Policy 2022-2035, the Pentagonal Strategy Phase 1, and Cambodia Financial Technology Development Policy 2023-2028. Firmly underpinning Cambodia's commitment to transition from a conventional economic model to a resilient digital economy,” the premier underscored.
“In this respect, I would like to welcome key partners, both from public and private sectors to explore tremendous opportunities that Cambodia can offer in the field of digital economy,” Samdech Thipadei continued.
