Phnom Penh (FN), Oct. 8 – On 8 October 2023, Cambodian prime minister Hun Manet sent a condolence letter and made a phone call to the family of Chan Oudom, a Cambodian student who died in the Israel-Gaza violence.

Premier Hun Manet also assigned the representative of the prime minister's Cabinet Me Sithon to convey condolence letters from Samdech Thipadei and Samdech Techo Hun Sen to the victim's family.

In the letters, both leaders expressed their heartfelt emotions after receiving the news that Chan Udom, 24, died in the clashes.

Samdech Thipadei would also like to express his deepest condolences for the loss of Chan Udom, and he considered it as the loss of Cambodian potential human resource.
