Phnom Penh (FN), Oct. 7 – In the first nine months of 2023, Cambodia exported milled rice of more than 450,000 tons worth USD 327 million.

"In the first nine months of 2023, Cambodia exported milled rice of 456,581 tons worth USD 327.45 million, with 55 companies exporting to 57 destinations," according to a report of the Cambodia Rice Federation seen by Fresh News on Saturday (Oct. 7).

According to the report, 155,366 tons were exported to China and Hong Kong and valued at USD 99.65 million; 190,788 tons were exported to European countries and valued at USD 138.98 million; 45,306 tons worth USD 31.32 million were exported to five ASEAN members; and 66,331 tons worth USD 57.49 million were exported to 24 other destinations in the Africa and Middle East.

Cambodia exported all types of premium aromatic rice at 82.43%, white rice at nearly 12.26%, parboiled rice at 3.33%, organic rice at 1.77%, and short grain rice at 0.02%.

In the first nine months of 2023, Cambodia exported 3,077,415 tons of unmilled rice worth approximately USD 862 million.
