Phnom Penh (FN), Oct. 5 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Manet reassured the investment in human resources as their findings and researches are very important for the nation and students.
The premier spoke on Thursday (Oct. 5) on the occasion of the 26th National Teacher's Day, held at Institute of Technology of Cambodia.
Samdech Thipadei highly encouraged the development of teachers' skills on a regular basis and increased research, documentation, culture of research and reading.
"Do not be afraid to invest in such results and do not be afraid to invest in people who create results for our country. I am content to know that more than a thousand research and books have been compiled by both teachers and students in a year,” the premier underscored.
Samdech Thipadei added that while he was studying overseas, all research documents about Cambodia were written by foreigners. Therefore, he urged teachers to do research and compile a number of books or documents for the next generation to learn from and understand their history.
On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet stated that the Royal Government will prepare to compile historical documents from the first century for Cambodian children to study. In addition, new research related to science or other skills is also encouraged.
