Phnom Penh (FN), Oct. 2 – Samdech Techo Hun Sen, president of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP), sent a congratulatory message to the workers on having their 2024 wage increase.

Samdech Techo wrote on his social media on Monday (Oct. 2).

"In a situation where the world’s economy is in downturn, increasing the wages for workers is a good thing, yet what’s more important in the difficult time is to maintain jobs and to create new jobs. I would like to congratulate the government, workers, and relevant institutions that could maintain three main points, including (1) increase the salary no matter how much; (2) maintain the jobs; (3) create new jobs.

A sight increase on salary is better than losing a job and losing the whole income."
