Phnom Penh (FN), Sep. 20 – Cambodian prime minister, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet dedicated the achievements of the inscription of Koh Ker Temple on the UNESCO's World Heritage List to the late king father, former kings and the Khmer ancestors.
The premier spoke on Wednesday (Sep. 20) on the occasion of the celebration of Koh Ker World Heritage Site at the National Olympic Stadium.
Samdech Thipadei expressed his gratitude to Cambodian king Norodom Sihamoni and queen mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk, who have always been supportive of the Royal Government in the conservation and development of the national identity.
The premier said, "I would like to dedicate this solemn ceremony to Cambodian late king father Norodom Sihanouk, former kings and queens as well as Khmer ancestors, who built and left a unique civilization and cultural heritage, the identity of the Khmer people.”
On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei highly commended the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts and all relevant ministries and institutions, especially heritage officials, for their professional efforts to register the Koh Ker archeological site.
Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet also thanked his compatriots for their love and participation in all forms of protection and preservation of all valuable heritage that reflects the glory and greatness of the Khmer Empire.
