Kampong Speu (FN), Sep. 9 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Manet expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Neak Oknha Kith Meng, president of the Chamber of Commerce, for his efforts to attract foreign investors to Cambodia on the occasion of attending the 43rd ASEAN Summit and related summits in Indonesia.
The premier spoke on Saturday (Sep. 9) during a meeting with nearly 20,000 workers in Kampong Speu province.
"I would like to thank and appreciate the Chamber of Commerce, led by Neak Oknha Kith Meng [...] I work in diplomacy, politics and economy, while he does business,” Manet underlined.
At the same time, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet said that the Royal Government and the private sector must work together to attract foreign investors to Cambodia.
Manet added that his trip to Indonesia has brought many economic benefits, including increasing rice quota for export to Indonesia, proposing direct flights with Indonesia and the Philippines, and building a power transmission line to Singapore.
