Phnom Penh (FN), Aug. 29 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Manet said that more than 40 years or 20 years ago, peace was precious for Cambodia. It is still precious today and will remain precious in the future as it generates employment opportunities for citizens.
Premier Hun Manet spoke during his meeting with nearly 20,000 workers in Phnom Penh on Tuesday morning (Aug. 29).
"Peace was precious 40 years ago as well as 20 years ago. Peace is still precious today and will remain precious in the future. If there is no peace, do not talk about job creation. Therefore, we must maintain peace," Manet underscored.
On that occasion, Manet pointed out that the Royal Government of the new mandate aims to maintain the achievements that the CPP has achieved in the past 44 years, in particular maintaining peace, stability, and development for the people and national unity.
