Phnom Penh (FN), Aug. 22 – Chinese premier Li Qiang sent a congratulatory letter to Cambodian prime minister Hun Manet on his recent appointment.

"China firmly supports Cambodia in pursuing a path suited to its national condition, and believes that under Your Excellency and the new government's leadership, the fraternal Cambodian people will no doubt enjoy greater prosperity. Following the strategic direction set out by Chinese president Xi Jinping, Cambodian king Norodom Sihamoni, and Samdech Hun Sen, I stand ready to work with you to carry forward our traditional friendship, deepen cooperation and jointly build high-quality, high-level and high-standard China-Cambodia Community with a Shared Future to the benefits of our two peoples," according to the letter seen by Fresh News on Tuesday (Aug. 22).
