Phnom Penh (FN), Aug. 22 – Former Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen, also president of the Cambodian People's Party, thanked the king, queen mother and compatriots for their support for the government led by Samdech.

Samdech Hun Sen spoke in a press conference on Tuesday (Aug. 22) at the National Assembly.

"I would like to take this opportunity to express my deep gratitude to the king and queen mother who have always supported the efforts of the Royal Government and what I have done in the past,” he underlined.

Taking this opportunity, Samdech also thanked civil servants and armed forces at all levels who have worked hard in the past to contribute to promoting the implementation of the government's policy.

On that occasion, Samdech also thanked monks and compatriots who have always provided support for more than 44 years of the Royal Government's activities and more than 38 years of him serving as Cambodian prime minister.
