Kandal (FN), Aug. 3 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen said he will not quit politics, reassuring that he will continue to serve as president of the ruling Cambodian People’s Party.

The premier spoke on Thursday morning (Aug. 3) in an inauguration ceremony of Ring Road No.3.

"I will continue to be president of the ruling party, accompanied by the four vice presidents of the party, along with several other members of the politburo, where some will be serving in the the National Assembly and some in the Senate," said the premier.

Samdech continued, as the head of the party, he will not intervene in the work of the Royal Government so that the next generation leaders have full independence to make decisions.

Premier Hun Sen thanked compatriots for supporting Hun Manet to become the next prime minister.
