Kandal (FN), Aug. 3 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen unveiled two scenarios for the successors to lead the country in the new mandate, speaking on Thursday morning (Aug. 3) in an inauguration ceremony of Ring Road No.3.

“At first, two scenarios have been discussed. The first scenario is the old cabinet members continue to lead the government for one to two years, then hand over to the next generation. The second scenario is the next generation leaders start leading the government from the beginning of the mandate. As a result, the CPP Standing Committee decided to choose the second scenario,” the premier underscored.

"The next generation is well-prepared. They are mature enough to lead the country. The new prime minister is 46-year-old far older than my period which was only 32-year-old,” premier Hun Sen stated.
