Phnom Penh (FN), Jul. 12 – Cambodian Mine Action Center (CMAC) director general Heng Ratana said that CMAC management and technical team had just completed their demining training mission for the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU) using the latest Japanese demining technology. The team safely arrived home.

CMAC director general Heng Ratana told Fresh News on Wednesday (Jul 12) that the one-week training course was conducted in Poland from 5-9 July 2023.

"This training course aimed to review the previous training conducted in January 2023 in Cambodia," Ratana underscored.

This is the second time that Ukrainian deminers attended a demining training course conducted by the CMAC with the support from JICA, while the previous training was conducted in Cambodia from 16-20 January 2023.
