Phnom Penh (FN), Jun. 28 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen ordered the armed forces to immediately shoot down the enemy’s drones that flew into Cambodian territory, and announced USD 200,000 reward to any armed unit that took down the drones.

The premier spoke on Wednesday (Jun 28) during his meeting with nearly 20,000 workers in Phnom Penh.

"I warn any country that use drones to invade Cambodia and carry out acts of terror on Cambodian soil. If we investigate and find out, we will file a complaint to the United Nations. Any unit that took done the drones will be rewarded the USD 200,000,” the premier underlined.

Premier Hun Sen also urged the armed forces to take immediate action against the violation of the kingdom’s territorial integrity.

The premier’s remarks came after receiving information that seven drones were believed to enter Cambodian territory in Koh Nhek district, Mondulkiri province last night (Jun 27).

On that occasion, Samdech also called on all compatriots living in the eastern region not to panic over troop mobilisation.
