Phnom Penh (FN), Jun. 24 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen said he was absent from public speaking for a few days, for he was obliged to accompany his spouse Bun Rany for a medical check-up.

The premier spoke on Saturday morning (Jun 24) during his meeting with nearly 20,000 workers in Phnom Penh.

"I had to fulfill my obligation, as my spouse (Bun Rany Hun Sen) has health issues," the premier underscored.

Taking this occasion, Samdech also ordered deputy police chief general Chhay Sinarith to immediately investigate those who used insulting words against his family on social media.
