Phnom Penh (FN), Jun. 19 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen instructed local working groups at provinces to continue working after election and until new government is set up.

The premier spoke at a meeting to review the report of the sixth mandate of the Royal Government Working Group on Monday.

Samdech also announced that he will only suspend his field visits only during the election campaign and the election day, but from 27 July 2023 onwards, he will continue to meet with workers at least 10 more times, as it is necessary to oversee what the Royal Government has achieved.

Meanwhile, the premier added that all local working groups must not relinquish their role in the mandate they have.

Samdech continued, after taking office, the Royal Government of the 7th legislature of the National Assembly will review and adjust the composition of the working group of the Royal Government to visit the capital-provincial capitals as appropriate and continue to set out policies and measures to continue to strengthen and enhance the effectiveness of the local working group by monitoring and supporting the implementation of the political program and strategy of the 7th Mandate Royal Government, aimed at achieving the vision of Cambodia to become a high middle-income country by 2030 and high-income country by 2050.
