Through this, we can see the immense and invaluable merits of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF), sacrificing their lives in fulfilling noble mission in the cause for the nation, religion, the king.”
"In this spirit, the Brigade 70 and the RCAF must continue to strengthen the capacity of the armed forces on a regular basis to be ready to respond to any situation, especially natural disasters, which can cause damage to property, national interests and the people,” the premier added.
Samdech continued, “our armed forces must prepare transportation means to transport materials and victims, provide assistance and medical care, and increase coordination with civilian counterparts in relief operations, as our forces has already responded to disasters such as floods, droughts, fires, demining, clearing land for agricultural purposes, and sending volunteer medical experts to rural areas.”
In addition, Samdech further stated that the armed forces’ capability must be trusted to participate in the performance of duties at both the national and international levels. Cambodia has already transformed from a killing field and an isolated country to a completely peaceful country and a popular tourist destination in Southeast Asia.
