Kandal (FN), Jun. 10 – After the COVID19 outbreak, the Royal Government, under the wise leadership of Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen, has been making great efforts to attract foreign direct investment to boost the national economy and create employment opportunities for citizens.

The premier spoke on Saturday morning (June 10) during his meeting with more than 16,000 workers in Kandal Stueng district, Kandal province.

"The Royal Government is urging foreign investors to invest more in the kingdom to increase exports and create employment opportunities for the citizens nationwide," the premier continued.

Peace plays a crucial role in attracting investment, the premier added.

Meanwhile, the premier emphasized the Royal Government's tireless efforts to ensure that factories/enterprises continue their operation during the COVID19 outbreak.

The Royal Government is also promoting the construction of roads, electricity supply, and clean water supply, as well as accelerating the construction of international ports and airports, along with the policy of trade incentives, trade facilitation, and early trade tariffs elimination to attract more investors to boost the development of the kingdom’s socioeconomic activities.
