Kampong Chnang (FN), Jun. 8 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen announced to give USD 20,000 to workers whose factory owners allegedly deduct USD 20 from their salaries if they did not attend the meeting with Samdech.
The premier’s reaction came after a baseless claim saying that USD 20 will be deducted from worker’s salary if they missed a meeting with the premier.
The premier spoke on Thursday morning (June 8) during his meeting with nearly 20,000 workers in Kampong Chnang province.
On that occasion, Samdech also appealed to the workers, whose salaries have been deducted, to come forward in order to participate in further investigation.
