Phnom Penh (FN), Jun. 5 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen expressed his desire to form an ASEAN football team, speaking on Monday morning (June 5) during a graduation ceremony for students of the Royal University of Law and Economics.

"I joked with the head of the ASEAN member countries that we should have an ASEAN football team. For example, ASEAN has 11 members, so each country is able to send two talented players to form the team," the premier underscored.

Samdech also expressed his desire that in the future, ASEAN will be able to bid to host the Olympics or World Cup.
