Kampong Speu (FN), Jun. 4 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen reaffirmed that only the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) has the ability to earn and protect peace, speaking on Sunday morning (June 4) during a meeting with more than 16,000 workers in Kampong Speu province.

Premier Hun Sen said, "peace is precious for development. We must continue our efforts. Peace is not just for the prime minister, but for everyone. Therefore, we must ensure peace. I would also like to reaffirm that only the CPP are capable of earning and protecting peace."

According to the premier, if there is no peace, there is no development, no investment, and there will be unemployment. No investor wants to invest in war-torn countries, the premier added.

Even the president of the ASEAN Para Sports Federation also highlighted the values of peace in Cambodia and that we must jointly work together to maintain it, said premier Hun Sen.

Samdech continued, as long as the CPP continues to lead, it will be able to protect peace at all costs.

On that occasion, Samdech continued to call on all workers and employees to work together to maintain the peace, so that it opens door of opportunity for national development.

Premier Hun Sen also reiterated that he would dare to do everything to protect the kingdom’s peace, especially to eliminate ill-intended groups who wanted to destroy the peace.
