Phnom Penh (FN), May 26 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen, also the chairman of the National Paralympic Committee of Cambodia, further urged local media to widely broadcast all competitions in the 2023 ASEAN Para Games.
The premier spoke during a meeting with Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) athletes ahead of the 12th ASEAN Para Games, held on Friday afternoon (May 26) at the Peace Palace.
"I would like to urge all local television broadcast stations to participate in live broadcasting and widely broadcast all competitions [the 2023 ASEAN Para Games] like the 2023 SEA Games. [Cambodian information minister] Khieu Kanharith shall remind this issue with all local TV stations,” the premier underscored.
On that occasion, premier Hun Sen added that as long as our local TV stations broadcast widely, foreign broadcast stations will continue to air the competitions from us.
Samdech continued, people only knew Pol Pot when they heard of Cambodia, but now they have learnt a lot about Cambodia through the kingdom’s efforts, in particular the organization of the SEA Games and the ASEAN Para Games.
