Phnom Penh (FN), May 24 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen said that the Win-win policy did not only end the civil war and bring national unity, but also help Phloy Suoy traditional Khmer dance to survive.
The premier spoke at an inauguration ceremony of a new location of the Royal University of Fine Arts, held on Wednesday morning (May 24) in Phnom Penh.
"If national unity was not achieved on time in 1998, [Phloy] Souy dance might be forgotten and it will never have a chance to perform on today’s stage. Therefore, the national unity resulted from the implementation of the Win-win Policy has offered opportunities in various areas, including arts, in particular [Phloy] Suoy dance," the premier underscored.
Samdech continued, peace allows Cambodia to have a chance to host many historical events, including the recent host of the 32nd SEA Games under a theme, sports live in peace.
