Phnom Penh (FN), May 18 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen recalled the Royal Government’s blossom approach for vaccine distribution, speaking at a graduation of more than 1,000 medical students, held on Thursday morning (May 18) at Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel.
"Each country has different measures for vaccine distribution and some countries impose vaccine equality. However, the kingdom used blossom approach by rolling out vaccines from Phnom Penh and Kandal province, then to other provinces,” the premier underlined.
“Therefore, if wrong measures were taken, the situation could be out of hand. This can be considered as an experiment,” the premier added. The blossom approach led to Cambodia's successful vaccination against COVID19.
Samdech continued, some rich countries have struggled to get COVID19 vaccines due to their indecisiveness on the source of vaccines.
On that occasion, premier Hun Sen added that many countries roll out the Chinese-aided vaccines, including Cambodia, Indonesia, Thailand and countries in the Middle East.
