Phnom Penh (FN), May 17 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen urged citizens to jointly cooperate with the Royal Government to maintain peace in order to have a chance to host such historic sport events like the 32nd SEA Games.
The premier spoke at the closing ceremony of the 32nd SEA Games, held on Wednesday (May 17) at Morodok Techo National Stadium.
"Today, we clearly understand the definition of the slogan "sports live in peace". In this sense, if you want [Cambodia] to host such sport event, you shall jointly cooperate with the Royal Government to maintain peace," the premier underscored.
On that occasion, premier Hun Sen also said that Cambodia’s success of hosting the 32nd SEA Games is now a common achievement of the Cambodian people and reflects the solidarity and friendship among ASEAN countries.
