Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 27 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen confirmed that six Cambodian students studying in South Sudan have been evacuated from the Khartoum capital yesterday.
Currently, they are staying in Saudi Arabia with the assistance of Malaysian officials, said the premier at the opening of new training courses in 2023 of the Royal School of Administration, held on Thursday (Apr 27) at Diamond Island.
On that occasion, Samdech thanked the government and officials of Malaysia for evacuating the students and also thanked the government and officials of Saudi Arabia for offering short-term asylum to those students.
More than 459 deaths and 4,000 injuries have been reported by the Federal Ministry of Health since the escalation of violence erupted in Sudan on 15 April 2023.
