Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 25 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen warned to fire the parents and brother-in-law of the opposition activist Sorn Dara, speaking at a graduation ceremony at National Institute of Education on Tuesday morning (Apr 25).

"At any appropriate time, I will call your parents and your brother-in-law to meet. Do not forget I can fire them," the premier underscored.

In a video interview on 21 February 2022, Sorn Dara’s father urged his son to stop attacking premier Hun Sen, yet Sorn Dara refused.

Samdech considered Sorn Dara as a hypocrite person. When Cambodia does not celebrate Water Festival, Sorn Dara said it was because the Royal Government did not have a sufficient budget. However, when the Royal Government offers free of charge for the SEA Games and ASEAN Para Games delegation, Sorn Dara asked why the Royal Government does not distribute the budget to help the poor.
