Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 28 – On 27 March 2023, Cambodia Airways’ inaugural flight KR991 landed smoothly at Beijing Daxing International Airport, marking the successful launch of Cambodia Airways' Phnom Penh-Beijing route between the capital of Cambodia and China.
To commemorate the launch of the new service, Cambodia Airways organized a special celebratory event at Beijing Daxing International Airport in the presence of Cambodia Airways’ director, Duan Lian and Beijing Daxing International Airport leaders.
The first flight KR991, operated by an Airbus-A320 aircraft, departed from Phnom Penh International Airport at 7:50 AM and landed at Beijing Daxing International Airport at 13:30 PM (local time). The return flight KR992 departed from Beijing Daxing at 14:30 PM and arrived in Phnom Penh at 18:15 PM (local time).
In prior to the departure, Cambodia Airways was determined to make the trip memorable for our passengers by preparing some special souvenirs to be distributed at the boarding gate. Upon arrival at Beijing Daxing airport, the aircraft was greeted with a water gate ceremony to celebrate the success of the new expansion of Cambodia Airways’ route network. The newly landed passengers were warmly welcomed by the representatives from both sides and staff dressed in Khmer traditional clothes. An Angkor Wat photo backdrop was set up at the event for passengers to take beautiful photos, and posted on their social medias to receive delicate customized souvenirs as a reward. There were also many other special activities such as performances and promotional offers to ensure that our passengers had an unforgettable inaugural experience with Cambodia Airways.
Cambodia Airways is offering a three-times-a-week service, scheduled regularly on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
