Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 20 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen once again urged all relevant ministries and institutions to continue to actively participate with an unwavering will in the implementation of the public financial management reform.
The premier spoke at the implementation of the Public Financial Management Reform Program (PFMRP) Phase 4 (2023-2027), held on Monday (Mar 20) at Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel.
Premier Hun Sen stated, "I urge all relevant ministries and institutions to continue to actively participate in accordance with their mission, position, work agenda and accountability with ownership as well as an unwavering will to implement this reform program, as defined in the vision and strategy document on the PFMRP Phase IV."
Samdech hoped that this final phase will be implemented with continuous monitoring and evaluation to jointly address challenges and overcome obstacles, with a spirit of solidarity, cooperation and high coordination in order to achieve the vision of building the Cambodian public financial management system to meet international standards and excellence.
On behalf of the Royal Government of Cambodia, Samdech would like to take this opportunity to express his appreciation to all institutions that have been actively involved in the implementation of the PFMRP since 2004.
At the same time, Samdech highly commended the leadership and the professionalism of Cambodian minister of Economy and Finance Aun Pornmoniroth as the chairman of the Public Financial Management Reform Steering Committee. He also commended all the leaders and civil servants of the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
In addition, premier Hun Sen would like to express his deep gratitude to all development partners who have always supported both technical assistance and financial assistance since the beginning of the reform.
The premier also expressed his pride in the successful implementation of the public financial management reform program over the past 20 years.
