Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 16 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen criticized a smear campaign made by foreigners and some politicians over the development of the kingdom’s port, speaking at the graduation of Build Bright University students on Thursday (Mar. 16) at Diamond Island Convention and Exhibition Center.

"What is wrong with strengthening the capacity of Cambodia's military port? This is Cambodian territory. Cambodia has the right to strengthen her naval capabilities,” the premier underlined.

Samdech denied claimed that the newly developed Ream port served the Chinese navy.

“The kingdom’s Ream Naval Base indiscriminately welcomes ships and military exercises from any countries.”
